Aside from this, he continued working to commission, painting portraits and works with broad subject matter
from ballet dancers, animals, still life, and landscapes. Simon developed a contemporary painting style blending a fusion of colours and light with dynamic line work, to release himself from the
restriction of his representational work.

The new millenium has seen a development of his contemporary style of painting, influenced by hobbypop painters
such as Sophie Von Hellerman and inspired by childhood memories and observations of life. Simon’s work has been exhibited at various independent galleries, and shows, the most recent being the Affordable Art
Fair 2007.
Simon has also recently completed a commission to produce the official portrait of the new Bishop of Northampton, click here to view the picture.
